PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Mr. Ongaro is an Office Leasing and Investment Properties Specialist with Orion Partners Ltd., focusing on Marin County properties. A top producer with the firm's Marin County team, he has sold or leased many of Marin County's most prestigious properties. In the past two years, Mr. Ongaro completed 73 deals valued at more than $150 million.

Prior to joining Orion Partners, Mr. Ongaro began his real estate career with Grubb & Ellis Company in 1986 as a research director; he was named "Rookie of the Year" for his sales efforts in Marin County in 1988 and "Top Producer" in 1990. In January of 1996, Mr. Ongaro left Grubb & Ellis to form Orion Partners Ltd. with nine other experienced real estate agents, and was the top producer for the office that year.

EDUCATION

Mr. Ongaro holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado. He is a broker and CCIM candidate.

Represented Seller in the sale of this former military base now converted to 535,000 square feet of office space. Representing owner in leasing - 110,000 square feet leased to date with several leases pending.
4040 Civic Center, San Rafael - 127,000 Square Feet
Sold property for $33,400,000 representing buyer and seller. Represented the Estate of James Campbell leasing the entire project to fourteen tenants including:

  • Fetzer Vineyards - 13,516
  • Stormfront Studios - 29,315 square feet
  • Light Source - 29,302 square feet
  • HQ Business Centers - 12,079 square feet
  • GSA - 10,691 square feet

Belvedere Place, Mill Valley - 100,000 Square Feet
Represented Gate Capital & Lehman Brothers in pre-leasing a new 100,000 square foot office building. Currently 85% pre-leased.
One Thorndale Drive, San Rafael - 62,300 Square Feet
Represented Maier & Siebel leasing the entire building to Sega. Sold the building for $16,000,000 representing Buyer & Seller.

Represented Maier & Siebel leasing the entire building to Washington Mutual, Orion Partners Ltd., Royal Blue, and Milepost Industries.

Represented the owner in the leasing of the entire building to Brightware.

Sold the project representing both the seller, HomeFed Bank, and the buyer. Leased 16,000 square feet within six months of close of escrow. Currently in negotiation for 20,000 square feet with a national tenant.
